Shezad Dawood’s University of NonDualism commissioned by Frieze Live and Dhaka Art Summit, generously supported by the Bagri Foundation has been receiving rave reviews since opening on the 2nd October and there’s still a few days left to experience his new collaborative artwork featuring costumes by Priya Ahluwalia / Ahluwalia Studio, musical score by patten and choreography by Adrienne Hart / Neon Dance.

“Dawood is interested in the idea of advaita, or non-binary thinking. Thinking through where the body and fabric become architecture, and where architectural space is always a stage in waiting for human performativity, Dawood’s new commission draws on the legacy of Bangladeshi Modernist architect Muzharul Islam (1923 –2012) to create an adaptable stage set that is activated through performance.”
